This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network" or "The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again". After 2 hours of the reset I can access normally this game. It happens only with GW2.
Basically, this issue should fix itself, because of the way how the DNS works for these CDN servers. Those updates generally happen every few minutes, and you tend to get a different IP every time it updates. Normally when a server is not reachable, it shouldn't pop up on the DNS.
@Illconceived Was Na.9781 said:On any given day, someone will be experiencing connection issues to the GW2 servers. Some of those days are patch days. Without data, it's impossible to tell whether the problem is on their end, your end, or, the most likely these days, somewhere in between; there's a lot of internet between us and ANet and it's not as efficient as we think. Last December ping was a perfect 270-300 on NA (consider that perfect for SEA players lol) at all times, then 1-2 weeks into January you get the 1-4k ping again (but only during the day/night, go figure), ping miraculously goes back to 270 at around 2am and lasts a few hours which doesn't make sense.. Nobody else was hogging the connection
Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -assetsrv 62.154.232.120 It is recommended to remove this at a later point, to let the loadbalancers do the load balancing work. This patch is a big one btw, 945MB

Gw2 Error Code 42. Guild Wars 2 Error Code 42 is an error that occurs when there is an interruption in the connection between the player and the game's account servers.
Today, the match stalled out on me twice and the login server had "connection issues". It's currently 11:24am EST. Anyone else having connection problems or matches stalling out? I managed to get back in, but with a whopping 25 minute dishonor timeout. Until whatever is going on is fixed, I don't want to try pvping out of fear of getting more I had this problem just yesterday after trying to set up a proxy for gw2 with the program WideCap (didn't work.). Try this: Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2 and copy Gw2.dat to another location (i.e. your desktop). Uninstall and reinstall the game. The launcher will say "downloadi EWejL.
