Handling-wise, I find the Canon 5D Mark III to be superb. In fact, I actually prefer it to the D800, primarily because of its more extruded and very comfortable grip. The controls of the camera very much resemble the Canon 7D and I also find them to be designed very well – much better than on the 5D Mark II for sure.

Earlier today, I noticed that I'd plug in a full battery into the camera, only for the camera to die minutes later after filming video. The Canon consumer cameras draw from each battery alternately so that they are both drained at the same time. If you take pictures with the 5D2 and two batteries, you can check the battery info and see that it takes a few frames from one battery, then from the other in a stair-step fashion.
