The designer really got this bike right, IMHO. It's arguably the best of the "650 class" bikes and it shows.

Ilowered a 2014 690 Enduro R for a fellow. I rode it before and after. While I am not a fast rider, I go at a decent clip. Usually finish mid-pack overall in local hare scrambles. That being said, the guy wanted this bike lowered 2 inches, which I did with internal spacers in the forks and shock. Thebike is capable of a top end of about 107 mph with 15/45 and the 2012 may run even faster as it has a 690 cc motor versus the earlier models which have a 652 cc motor.. I don't know if you are getting a 2012 or a used bike. If you do get used I would recommend 2009 or later, not the first year, i.e., 2008. 4Q6Pg.
