Dead Space 3 is an odd one. Kind of like Marmite, some people love it, some hate it. In my opinion, the game is designed around co-op, but at the same time, tries to pretend co-op doesn’t exist half the time, with dialogue written vague enough to assume it’s only one player, but could work for two players.
I'm gonna get all the hate, but coop together with microtransactions ruined the Dead Space 3 imho. Dead Space is supposed to be a solo experience. The reason why Dead Space 1 eventually resonated thru the internet community was because players and streamers were alone against the horrors of Ishimura and people were eventually drawn to the game
